This is a story about a young dog that needs your help.. late Oct 2011, Randolph County Humane Officer got a call about someone sighting a dog that appeared to have been attacked by a bear. The officer drove about an hour and a half towards the place of the sighting. The winding hilly roads kept getting smaller and smaller, changing from pavement to dirt and the trees seemed to be getting taller and taller blocking out a lot of the sun as he drove up one mountain and down the next.
Finally reaching the sighting destination, a dirt trail out in the middle of no mans land, he disembarked from his vehicle and scouted the deep woods by foot. No dog was sighted. The next day, he again went back and looked and got the dog . Bringing the wounded dog to the Randolph County Humane Society, The manager took the dog to the vet to get started on treatment of his wounds which looked like a bear attack. The staff named the dog, BoBoo.
Thank You Randolph County Humane Officer and Humane Society Manager..
BoBoo is a very nice dog and we are guessing that he ended way in the deep woods and saw a bear cub that he wanted to play with, We figure that momma bear didn’t care for this and grabbed BoBoo by the head with her mouth ripping the scalp and tearing an ear off and managed to slice BoBoos side with a claw. Then BoBoo somehow managed to escape.
Now BoBoo is on the road to recovery and eventually will be up for adoption after full recovery, He is less than one year old . We are asking for your financial help to help pay for the forthcoming vet bills. Please donate and help us take BoBoo all the way back to recovery then adoption.
Any funds received above and beyond BoBoos forthcoming vet bills , will be returned to the Randolph County “Yelp for Help” project.
